About Miss Liberty...
The story concerns an over-aggressive newspaper photographer, Horace Miller, who attempts to seek out the model who posed for the creation of the Statue of Liberty. In Paris, the sculptor Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi is starting a new project for which he is interviewing would-be models, among them Monique Dupont, a dancer.
Horiace thinks that she is the original model (in fact, it was Bartholdi's mother who posed for the statue). Once in New York, Monique is horrified to discover that she is supposed to be Miss Liberty.
